Dance Limerick has been running Inclusive Dance Club since 2023, through our DL Bridge Programme, to great success among participants and their families. Inclusive Dance Club is a creative dance project for children and young people with additional needs, exploring dance with a team of professional dance artists in a calm and safe environment.

DL.BRIDGE, led by artist Katy Hewison, creates opportunities for people to connect through dance and to create new dance projects that are relevant and meaningful to the lives of Limerick’s individuals and communities.

Inclusive Dance Club enables participants to learn new dance skills and gain a sense of belonging to a group. It is an opportunity for them to carry out a dance activity in an out of school environment, making new friends and meeting new role models that understand and support their needs. All of this has proven to increase their self-esteem, confidence and team work skills, improving their physical and mental health.

This year, we have the pleasure to offer two summer camps for children aged 7-14 years with a physical disability/learning difficulty. These involve inspirational workshops, one on one support that caters to every child’s needs and a sense of community for family members who meet and gather through these activities.
