FAVOUR ODUSOLA
Favour Odusola is a multi-disciplinary artist/creator, dance educator, facilitator, producer and performer . His practice combines Afro-contemporary movement, dance theatre, and community engagement, creating work that centres identity, belonging, and cultural exchange. Originally from Nigeria, his work bridges cultures while creating space for underrepresented voices in dance.
Favour has performed with Irish Modern Dance Theatre, DYDC, Emma Martin, Rob Heaslip and 5 Lamps Festival, a.o. He has also created and curated original works such as EKAABO, WAVE, WAY and TRANCE, a.o. He is the co-founder of UMAKOKO, a creative company focused on innovative performance and artist development, Artistic Director of JAIVA AfroDance Camp, and UMA, an afrodance-based dance programme.. Favour has also worked in the entertainment/commercial industry, performing for A-list artists such as Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, and brands such as Coca cola and Pepsi.
With extensive experience in both performance and community outreach, Favour’s work focus on empowering dancers through rhythm, storytelling, and connection to movement. He is passionate about creating inclusive, vibrant spaces where dancers can grow, connect, and unlock their potential.
MEGAN ROBERTS
Megan Roberts joins the Dance Limerick team as Project Producer for the Square Roots project, alongside her work as an independent SEO specialist and digital marketer. Megan has trained in socially engaged arts practice with Creative Places Shannon and continues to develop her learning through the programme. This informs the listening-led and relationship-centred approach she brings to Square Roots.
Her connection to the arts began when she took up aerial hoop as an adult and has grown through the encouragement and generosity she has experienced at the Irish Aerial Creation Centre in Limerick and within Ireland’s wider street arts, circus and spectacle community through ISACS. These experiences have deepened her interest in creative work that fosters connection, participation and belonging.
