DL. BRIDGE is a new pilot programme which aims to strengthen Dance Limerick’s role within Limerick city and promote civic dialogue. Supported through the Arts Council’s Capacity Fund for one year initially, the programme seeks to provide new pathways for individuals and communities to engage with dance, and to extend social and artistic exchange that fosters opportunities for people to develop art that is relevant to their lives and environment.

It is envisaged that these diverse, creative experiences will impact positively on people’s lives and wellbeing, and help celebrate and strengthen a sense of place and cultural belonging. The aims and values of DL.BRIDGE are supported by Dance Limerick’s Diversity and Inclusion Policy.

Curator of the programme Philippa Donnellan says: I’m thrilled to be joining Dance Limerick to lead this new programme, DL.BRIDGE. I believe this unique venture offers great potential in expanding opportunities for people to engage in dance and the arts – and in building Dance Limerick’s wider community. I look forward to starting!

Individuals, groups and community organisations are invited to get in touch with Dance Limerick if you are interested in being part of a DL.BRIDGE project, or if you would like to know more about the programme. Email info@dancelimerick.ie with the subject line DL.BRIDGE for more information.
