JOB DESCRIPTION:
Dance Limerick is seeking a part-time Production Assistant to support the smooth running of Dance Limerick’s venue and hub. The ideal candidate will be reliable, proactive, and be interested in learning about dance and live performance.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Meeting, greeting, and seating audience at events.
- Preparing and serving refreshments, including managing the coffee bar during events.
- Assisting with setting up lighting and sound equipment for productions.
- Preparing and setting up the stage for performances.
- General maintenance tasks, including organising and upkeep around the Dance Limerick spaces.
- Helping to organise various areas including backstage and office spaces in the Dance Hub.
- Assist in archiving and/or securely destroying old files.
- Ensuring that Dance Limerick is a welcoming, organised, and professional space for all.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an open and friendly demeanour when dealing with the public.
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage time and tasks efficiently.
- A curiosity in live performance.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
- Self-motivated and able to take initiative in solving problems.
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
