Inspired by the writings of Seamus Heaney, the Liz Roche Company (Dublin) and Maiden Voyage Dance (Belfast) join forces to perform a new dance work that explores the predicament of living out two conflicting states of mind at once.
Choreographed by Liz Roche and set to an original score by Neil Martin, identities, beliefs, emotions and aspirations are put to the test in this poignant blend of dance, poetry and music. Conflicting identities and habits within oneself, adapting to change and drawing distinctions are at the crux of the piece which looks to Heaney’s quote from Place and Displacement.
