Have you always wanted to learn how to dance? Would you like to get involved in a creative project and make new connections in a safe, fun and supportive environment?
This is a contemporary dance project for all LGBTQIA+ identifying people who wish to move their body, chat and meet new friends while learning something new.
Following on from last year’s Pride Project, this year we are hosting workshops on Thursday evenings and occasional Saturdays, linked in with GOSHH Social Coffee Mornings.
This project will have 3 x blocks of Dance Workshops in total, starting in April until July 2024. We will learn from a different contemporary dance teacher in each block, to experience different ways of moving our body and expressing ourselves. Inspired by the different dance teachers’ approaches, we will create a short dance piece to be shared in a relaxed Pride Dance Party (family friendly end event) during Limerick Pride week. Participation in the final performance is optional.
