Limerick Literary Festival in honour of Kate O’Brien | Official Festival Opening
Limerick Literary Festival in honour of Kate O’Brien event, hosted by Dance Limerick.
The official opening of the Festival will be on Friday February 21st at 7p.m. in the Dance Limerick Space (St John’s Church in Johns Square). The official opening will be by Vicky Phelan and will be followed by musical interlude presented by the Irish National Opera.
The festival, formerly known as The Kate O’Brien Weekend, began in 1984 to mark the tenth anniversary of the death of Limerick-born Kate O’Brien. The event continues to celebrate the life and works of the author, while attracting prominent participants from all over the world. It is an inspiring mix of both discourse and discussion.
