Liam Cahill is a historian, writer and journalist. In his book Forgotten Revolution, Liam Cahill tells the story of the Limerick Soviet, who in 1919, took over the city. Comprising of nationalist forces and trade unionists, the Soviet fused into a powerful opposition to British rule. The book places the Soviet in the context of the political climate in Ireland, Britain and Europe.
