We invite dance artists with/without additional needs to come together once a month on Monday mornings in a relaxed setting to learn new skills, share, exchange and dance together. Each month a different dance artist with extensive experience in Inclusive Dance Practice will lead the session.
This will support local Limerick dance artists to meet in monthly artist development opportunities, develop their practice and create further inclusive dance environments in Limerick.
The first session will take place on
Monday 11 March | 10.30 am – 1 pm | Dance Limerick Performance Space
Angie Smalis will facilitate an integrated dance class with guest dance artists from Patterns Dance Collective. Patterns Dance Collective, formed in 2012, consists of contemporary dance artists with intellectual disabilities, located in centres in the Limerick City region under the auspices of AVISTA, Limerick. Patterns has enjoyed a long and successful history of performing locally, nationally and internationally under the direction of Angie Smalis.
Doors will open at 10.30, the session will take place 11 am – 12 pm and there will be time for reflections from 12 to 1 pm.
