Dance Limerick presents HORSE by Angie Smalis & Colin Gee.

‘’Horse” is a script-based performance featuring 5 dancers, a musician and a narrator. It is the second part of the “Persuasion” Trilogy, exploring themes of: Women and Power, Perspective and Crisis, and Nature and Alienation. Actor Pius McGrath, in his narration, describes a single incident during a public health crisis from the perspectives of five people involved, while all of those perspectives are shifting and much of what’s said is speculative. Musician Andy Connolly will perform electronic music tracks live as dance artists Colin Gee, Angie Smalis, Yumi Lee, Robert Jackson and Mark Carberry, embody the five people involved, dramatizing moments in the story as they struggle with the relativity of truth.  Artist Martin Shannon’s hand drawn set design features pieces of a city street that is recognisable but out of all proportion.
