Arts Council: 2021 Funding Opportunities Announced 

The Arts Council has announced more than 30 awards and funding schemes for 2021, designed to give to a wide range of artists and arts organisations the opportunity to apply for support. Included is a new ‘Agility Award’, an open and flexible grant scheme designed around the needs of professional artists and arts workers.

Dance Limerick: Professional Morning Classes return from 27 January

This January we welcome Jazmin Chiodi to Dance Limerick. Jazmin joins us as our first guest teacher of 2021 for Professional Morning Classes.

Dance Limerick Open Call: Dance Artist/Curator for Dance Limerick Connects

This funding will enable us to work with an Artist throughout 2021, to expand Dance Limerick’s reach, relevance and civic role within the city, using movement and the tools of socially engaged and collaborative interventions to explore issues of relevance to individuals and their communities.

Arts Council, The Grand Stretch: Open Call

The Grand Stretch / Coiscéim Coiligh is a unique artistic response to a unique chapter in Ireland's history. This season of arts events, ambitious in purpose, scale and scope will be brought to life by artists and cultural organisations across Ireland in June 2021.

Arts Council Dance Bursary Award

The purpose of the award is to support professional artists in the field of dance to develop their art practice. It provides artists at any stage of their career with the time and resources to think, research, reflect and critically engage with their art.

Arts Council Markievicz Award

The Markievicz Award is administered by the Arts Council on behalf of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, and is open via a public call to artists working in all arts genres supported by the Arts Council.

This scheme is designed to support touring and dissemination of work across a range of art forms and arts practices. For individuals and organisations who wish to tour between May and December 2021.

Dance Limerick exists to support the development of professional dance artists within the Limerick region and beyond.

Through a combination of performance platforms, residency opportunities, master classes, talks and lectures, Dance Limerick will advocate for artistic dialogue and exchange. In collaboration with dance artists across a range of practices, Dance Limerick will promote the creation of new and innovative work and will devise programmes of access, engagement and participation for the wider public.

Based at the premises of the former Daghdha Dance Company, Dance Limerick houses offices and a fully equipped studio space along with a separate performance venue known as the Daghda Space
