Light Moves Festival of Screendance is excited to announce the opening of submissions for our fourth festival taking place 8 – 11 November 2018 in Limerick, Ireland.

Light Moves invites filmmakers, choreographers and video artists to submit screendance works for consideration for the forthcoming 2018 programme of dance film and video art with movement as a central theme. The festival will take place in Limeick, Ireland at venues across the city including Dance Limerick and Belltable. Submissions can be made via FilmFreeway.com

Deadline (Extended): Monday 23 April 2018

Light Moves welcomes works which embrace dance and all forms of movement through the art of film and video art. Submissions that attend to the unique potential of choreography, performance, cinematography and sound, as well as alternate forms such as animation and computer modelling will all be considered.

Dance Limerick exists to support the development of professional dance artists within the Limerick region and beyond.

Through a combination of performance platforms, residency opportunities, master classes, talks and lectures, Dance Limerick will advocate for artistic dialogue and exchange. In collaboration with dance artists across a range of practices, Dance Limerick will promote the creation of new and innovative work and will devise programmes of access, engagement and participation for the wider public.

Based at the premises of the former Daghdha Dance Company, Dance Limerick houses offices and a fully equipped studio space along with a separate performance venue known as the Daghda Space
