Funding Clinic with the Arts Council | Upcoming Dance Project Award and the Dance Artists in Residence Scheme

The Arts Council Dance Department would like to invite you a funding clinic for the upcoming Dance Project Award and the Dance Artists in Residence Scheme. Changes to the schemes will be outlined and relevant information shared ahead of the window for applications opening on 8 March. Along with giving an overview of the guidelines and objectives for both the Dance Artist in Residence Scheme and the Dance Project Award, the session will include a short overview of the assessment process and some practical tips on making applications. Following this there will be time give for questions.

Open Call: Choregraphic Laboratory with Colin Dunne

The laboratory will provide up to 6 traditional dance artists with a one week intensive to explore methodologies in creative and performance practice. It aims to inspire shared conversations around where traditional dance performance currently stands in relation to the broader dance scene in Ireland.

Open Call: Studio Light Moves | Open Futures 2021 

Open Futures 2021 (brought to you by Light Moves Festival of Screendance and Studio Light Moves) will enable 8 artists, consisting of 4 collaborating pairs, from the fields of dance and the digital arts, to investigate and explore the potential for interdisciplinary exchange that encompasses practices for the stage, gallery, installation, and outdoor settings.

Open Call: Residencies for Irish based dance artists with Tipperary Dance Platform

Tipperary Dance Platform’s International Residences Exchange programme is designed to support dance creation and the development of international links in the dance sector in Ireland. It provides creation residences and facilitates the encounter between Irish-based artists and our International partners Trois C-L in Luxemburg and Grand Studio in Brussels. The 2021 programme will support two projects from Ireland, and host one project from each of TDP's international partner venues.

2021 Funding Opportunities Announced | Arts Council

The Arts Council has announced more than 30 awards and funding schemes for 2021, designed to give to a wide range of artists and arts organisations the opportunity to apply for support. Included is a new ‘Agility Award’, an open and flexible grant scheme designed around the needs of professional artists and arts workers.

Dance Limerick exists to support the development of professional dance artists within the Limerick region and beyond.

Through a combination of performance platforms, residency opportunities, master classes, talks and lectures, Dance Limerick will advocate for artistic dialogue and exchange. In collaboration with dance artists across a range of practices, Dance Limerick will promote the creation of new and innovative work and will devise programmes of access, engagement and participation for the wider public.

Based at the premises of the former Daghdha Dance Company, Dance Limerick houses offices and a fully equipped studio space along with a separate performance venue known as the Daghda Space
