ADULT DANCE CLASSES

Contemporary Dance with Celina | From Tuesday 15 May | 6-7:15pm | €70 for 6 weeks

Celina's class holds a dynamic structure: Classes include an introduction to floor-work, partner-work, and improvisation. With space to develop mind/body coordination as well as inner listening, students will be comfortable as first-time dancers or those coming back to movement after a long break. Each session builds on a movement sequence which is mastered by the end of the 6 week period. Celina facilitates a relaxing yet exciting environment where the body's natural intuition and playfulness will be explored and appreciated.

DANCE CLUBS FOR KIDS FROM SAT 19 MAY

Dance Club for Tots with Fiona - 2-4yrs | 10am-10:45am OR 11am-11:45am | €50 for 6 weeks

Designed to give our youngest dancers a head start, this Dance Club for Tots explores movement through music, stimulating imagination and promoting creativity, while participating with a parent/caregiver. This lively class explores moving as a group, telling stories through movement, rhythm exercises and improvisation. Time is spent learning to follow directions as well as free expression time which allows Tots to explore and develop co-ordination, all while having fun!

Dance Club for 5-8yrs with Celina | 12pm-12:45pm | €50 for 6 weeks

Modern and jazz styles combine in this introduction to movement and music from around the world. Children will be encouraged to use their imagination to express their own individuality and develop their creativity, while also building confidence and strength.

Dance Club for 9-14yrs with Rachel | 1pm-2pm | €50 for 6 weeks

This class will focus on movement creation through play, improvisation and freestyle. Rachel shares techniques she has researched and learned to provide structured improvisations (contemporary) and a freestyle environment (urban styles). Every class is different, building skills consistently, but in different ways. Dancers develop skills around body-awareness and perception, along with awareness of space and people around them. Through group improvisations, working in small groups and pairs, the class focuses on moving, expressing through movement and, of course, having fun! This class is suitable for boys and girls of any ability.
