Percolate artist Isabella Oberländer and Fearghus Ó Conchúir will be in residence at Dance Limerick for two weeks

Percolate 2023 artist Isabella Oberländer will be in residence at Dance Limerick for two weeks with fellow performer Fearghus Ó Conchúir, as they put the final touches on their piece Tearmann Aiteach / Queer Sanctuary, which will be premiered at What Next festival in February.

This duet is part of an ongoing exploration of queer flourishing and solidarity. As a queer artist, Isabella aims to investigate new arrangements and interactions between dancers’ bodies beyond familiar patterns. The performance space becomes a place for care and attention -a sanctuary.

ISABELLA OBERLÄNDER is a choreographer and performer based in Limerick. Originally from Austria, she moved to Ireland to work with Daghda Dance Company, under the direction of Michael Klien. She premiered her solo ‘Glisten’ at Dublin Fringe Festival 2021. She later received an exchange residency from Tipperary Dance to work at Trois C-L, where she further developed solo practice in her research project ‘Bodies of Water’. She has most recently worked with Philip Connaughton, Sara Shelton Man, Mary Nunan, Pietro Marullo a.o.
