Step Up Dance Project Repertory Programme sees past participants of Step Up Dance Project return to work closely with a renowned choreographer, gaining a concentrated insight into their creative processes, culminating in a performance sharing of their work.
This year, participants have a fantastic opportunity to work with one of Ireland’s best known choreographers, David Bolger, on #somethingoldnew, a physical conversation taking its starting point from Bolger’s repertoire and his work with CoisCéim Dance Theatre.
This piece asks: Can dance made in the past speak to us now? In a danced dialogue through a lens of the present day, with artists of the future, movement phrases will be reformed, re-shaped and framed by new bodies, minds and spirits. #somethingoldnew connects us with the past to converse with the future.
There will be a performance sharing of #somethingoldnew at Dance Limerick on Saturday 11 February at 5pm.
