Update Sat 28 March: The last two performances of Marble & Bread are sold out! Thank you everyone for your wonderful support.
Dance Limerick and Limerick Arts Office are pleased to unveil Marble & Bread, the exciting new work conceived and choreographed by Megan Kennedy, Limerick’s Dance Artist-in-Residence. Marble & Bread takes its starting point from individual stories from the archives of St Joseph’s Mental Health Hospital. Informed by interviews with former staff of St Joseph’s and mental health patients in Limerick, Marble & Bread investigates the fragility of the mind and how closely abandonment and liberation lie beside one other.
A promenade dance theatre performance, the audience is invited to follow this compelling and compassionate journey through the faded beauty of The Sailor's Home.
